Tissues and their surge in demand!

Hygiene is one of the most essential factors in the development of modern society. It’s also a key measure in preventing the transmission of viruses such as gastrointestinal and cold/flu infections. The daily use of tissue paper plays an important role in the control of infection and the promotion of good hand hygiene within the general population. Lower hygiene risks are widely accepted as contributing to better health.

    1. Paper is always at hand. Just pull it, and off you go. Whether you pull it off the roll, out of the box or out of the dispenser, tissue paper is easy to use.

    2. And because it’s portable it’s always ready to come to the rescue. Slips and spills – no problem. Coughs and colds – caught safely. Tears of joy, or despair – wiped away.

    3. Tissue is also disposable. Meaning that you can throw it away once you have used it, ensuring that all dirt and germs are binned.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the increase in the adoption of tissue paper over conventional cloth-based napkins, as tissue paper mitigates the risk of infections.

Century Pulp and Paper (CPP), one of the top tissue manufacturers in India, has responded to an increase in demand for premium tissue products by starting up its second Valmet-supplied Advantage DCT 100HS TM.

Mr. J.P. Narain, Chief Executive Officer, Century Pulp and Paper, mentioned that “Century Pulp and Paper is the first company in India to install a tissue line equipped with Valmet Advantage ViscoNip press.”

He also said that, “We are constantly developing the mill with the latest technologies to ensure premium tissue quality to our customers and at the same time reduce the environmental impact.”

Century Pulp and Paper stays committed to contributing responsibly to society and mother Earth.
